Heart Failure Center

Heart failure (also known as congestive heart failure) is a condition in which the heart is not able to pump enough blood. Medication may help, but surgery may be needed, including heart transplant surgery. Devices such as an intraaortic balloon pump or ventricular assist device may help until a donor heart becomes available.
